All About Me and My Habits
Hi. I’m Sherri and I started this Blog. I live in Washington with my husband and two children. After having the baby and going back to work we realized my being away was not a good thing. My hormones went a little haywire. I struggling to get those under control. Between the new baby, my two year old and my husband I had more than enough reasons to not want to be at the day job anymore. So I turned in my notice and quit.
You can expect to see all the habits I currently keep as well as the habits I’m trying to change. You will be able to see which habits I change and how I was able to do it. My main focus will be on the the habits I keep concerning foods, exercise and stress. Here is a copy of my de-stress quick reference list Here. So basically weight management, healthy eating and stress management. I’m learning how to do these right and I’m not there yet, but believe I will be very soon.
These folowing health issues: pre-diabetes, overweight, overeating, emotional eating, depression and easily stressed are what this blog is about. There will probably be some other stuff too. I went through a lot in my lifetime and would like to be able to help someone else with my experiences. Hopefully to save them some of the drama I went through.
When I started my goal was to find a way to change jobs. However my goal was to change jobs once I was able to replace my income. So the losing the babysitter was a push I needed. In this process I have learned that I desired a creative outlet and am learning something new that is challenging but fun. About 9 years ago I just wanted to write but couldn’t find what to write about. I even started a book.
It was a little of a surprise to me when I realized I was writing, which is what I wanted to do all along. We will see how it turns out. I even remembered recently telling my parents as a young child that I wanted to write. My step-dad had said that most artist never got paid until they died and that I needed to learn a real job. I tried that. Boy was I miserable! so glad I tried something else.
I’ve always had a thing about collecting paper and pens. I am consistantly making lists. Recently I haven’t been getting my little checks. So I went and got myself a daily/weekly planner to help me with planning and hopefully becoming more consistant in getting my checks. I look forward to filling it out. To top that off I even purchased a planner to help me with planning out my writing.
I’m enjoying most of this process. It is very challenging for me due to the technical aspects and some mental blocks. I know it will not always be fun but I am hoping I am up for that challenge too. I am seeking a way to change my bad habits and a way to be home with my babies. I see this as a way to fix the parts of me that I see as unhealthy. I’m hoping I make enough progress to inspire someone.
Something else about me is that I would love to own a farm with some chickens, sheep and goats, and maybe some other little furries too. I know nothing about farmlife except what I’ve heard from others. So one thing is I would still have to get up early. Even with hearing the negatives like that one and of eating your own animals I still think it would be really cool.
Often times this may seem like a diary. The reason for that is that this is a personable experience for me that I am sharing. I start to write about one thing and end up writing about something else instead. It really is a learning process and as I learn I am bring my readers along with me. I imagine that those who read along with me are some who either have or are currently going through some of what I’m writing about. And if you want to tag along but are not really going through it, that’s ok. too. I know I don’t mind the encouragement. So welcome to my blog. I hope it is a good experience for all.
